The Republican National Committee website development project, RNC.org, was an integral part of the RNC's new direction and the eGOP Project. Connell was an important part of that strategy development and rollout.1

New Media is an integral player in the RNC strategy of becoming an Internet driven organization and making Internet communications a winning part of the 2000 election cycle and beyond. The website is the centerpiece of the RNC "eGOP strategy", which presents the RNC's commitment to using web technologies to enhance its communications, fundraising and grassroots organizing.
The official Internet home of the Republican National Committee, www.rnc.org is the flagship website for the party. Featuring state-of-the-art technology, it is updated daily with news and commentary from the RNC. Hear what the GOP has to say, make your voice heard, and catch live coverage of the Republican National Convention. The pages are of cutting-edge design, built to take advantage of dynamic database technology and permit users to customize their web experiences based on their own personal preferences.

Connell's New Media Communications was one of four sponsors2 for the RNC's free "Winning in a Web World" web conference for 350 eGOP activists described in RNC Chair Jim Nicholson's welcome on June 9, 2000 3:

On behalf of the Republican National Committee and our e.GOP Project, welcome to "WWW: Winning in a Web World," the first ever web skills conference produced by a national political party.
You are joined this weekend by over 350 fellow Republicans who appreciate the power of the Internet to affect political campaigns.
I know you share my view that this election will be strongly influenced by the web. Indeed, the campaigns and staffs that know how to organize, fundraise and communicated in this new medium will be the winners, which is why you are here.

Best of luck in making cyberspace a GOP friendly environment.

Let's go on to victory in November
